The 2023 edition of the European Vocational Skills Week is coming in October

  • The DESTINE project is aligned with the values of this thematic week
  • VET stakeholders will participate in organizing initiatives and events

The week of 23-27 October will see the seventh edition of the European Vocational Skills Week (EVSW). The EVSW is a European Commission initiative launched in 2016 to bring all stakeholders together to showcase best practices in Vocational Education and Training (VET) and to inspire others. It consists on a series of events to shine a spotlight on how VET is key for people of all ages to upskill and reskill for their personal development and careers and how VET is key to Europe’s efforts to respond to economic, climate and social challenges. VET equips VET graduates with the skills they need to pursue the employment opportunities of today and of the future.

The DESTINE project and its partners are aligned with this initiative that highlights the virtues of VET. The project promotes VET as a method to safeguard support for diversity, inclusion and tolerance, providing the necessary tools for all professionals and learners to adapt to the e-learning methodology. DESTINE focuses especially on those VET learners who need a learning environment adapted to their needs.

The 2023 European Vocational Skills Week will be embedded in the 2023 European Year of Skills.  As in previous editions, we count on VET stakeholders’ cooperation in organizing initiatives and events. Therefore, we warmly encourage you to contribute with your planned events to the website of the EYS.  Events can be branded for both the EYS and the EVSW.

During the week of 23 October 2023, European level events will be organised, including with the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU.
